Department OverviewOur teams develop mission critical software for handling emergency (911, 112) calls, videos and text messages. This platform connects our on-premise call handling solution with our leading edge CommandCentral call handling cloud product. The teams are responsible for end-to-end software development including: design, implementation, testing, delivery and maintenance. We work in well balanced agile teams with a full range of software development experience and the embedded mindset of DevOps culture and continuous delivery approach.

Job Description
Work as Software Engineering Manager using modern software development techniques to produce world-class public safety software - Command Central Call Handling. Our products allow customers to respond effectively in mission-critical operating environments. We’re looking for a highly motivated Engineering Manager to lead our scrum teams in building highly resilient, Cloud based services(Java, Angular, RUST, AWS, Azure) that truly makes a difference.
Responsibilities and expectations
Builds and maintains high performing team
Supports individuals development through feedback, coaching and mentoring in day to day work
E2E ownership for the team commitments and results
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Leads and sets direction and priorities for multiple scrum teams
Track of records in terms of building efficient team and growing talents
Has broad understanding of the problems of our customers from business and technical perspectives to lead the team to develop E2E elegant solutions
Provides timely feedback and alternative solutions to technical problems
Grows the team’s technical expertise
Provides updates to leadership team on team’s progress, risks and issues based on data
Self driven, energetic, highly innovative person with a positive attitude
Effectively collaborates with technical leaders and stakeholders in a multi-team environment
Demonstrates flexibility and resilience in the face of changing priorities and requirements
Influences technical strategy for the product and subsystem
Basic Requirements
8+ years of experience in leading and managing software development/engineering teams.
8+ years of experience in cooperation with geographically dispersed cross-functional teams (e.g. different time zones)
Experience in cooperation with geographically dispersed cross-functional teams(e.g. different time zones)
+ 8 years of experience in building enterprise on-prem mission critical systems as well cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or similar) and/or other distributed systems
Proven experience working as an engineering leader (engineering manager or technical leader)
Comfortable in working in highly technical environments and partner with architects & engineers
Ability to identify roadblocks and drive them promptly to resolution
Excellent communication skills
Excellent verbal and written English
Practical experience with Agile and Scrum
Practical knowledge of one of the following languages would be an additional asset : Java -preferred, .Net Core/C# or RUST, C++
