Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mid-Level Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME). This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside within driving distance of Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. The role requires 10–20% travel, both CONUS and OCONUS. A current Secret clearance is required.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct market research and technical assessments of GOTS/COTS hardware and software
- Support the integration, configuration, and testing of hardware and software packages
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including hardware/software lists, system diagrams, and compliance reports
- Support system integration, test, and evaluation activities
- Ensure compliance with DoD security standards (STIG, ACAS)
- Collaborate with program management, engineering teams, and Government stakeholders
- Provide technical input for prototype development and system enhancements
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with technical integration of hardware/software systems
- System administration experience (Windows and/or Linux environments)
- Experience with GOTS/COTS hardware and software in a DoD environment
- Familiarity with DoD security compliance (STIG, ACAS)
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills
- Ability to travel 10–20% (CONUS/OCONUS)
- Current Secret clearance
- Must reside within driving distance of APG, MD
