Technical Drafter

Dark Wolf Solutions seeks a highly experienced and energetic Senior Technical Drafter to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer, the Sr. Technical Drafter is responsible for responsive and coherent planning, development and delivery of PARCS and UEWR radar hardware and software modifications in response to change requests and deficiency reports.  This position will be a hybrid opportunity with onsite support as required by the customer at Peterson SFB Colorado Springs, CO.  Candidates must be located physically in the Colorado Springs, CO area or surrounding areas. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop design drawings according to engineering sketches and proposal specifications.
• Digitize, edit, and revise engineering drawings of components, parts, circuits, structures and/or assemblies.
• Manage and organize design files, patterns, and technical documentation in a systematic manner to facilitate seamless information sharing.
• Conduct regular quality checks on the final products, ensuring they adhere to the established design specifications and industry standards.
• Manage and prioritize numerous assignments.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5-years’ experience.
• Experience with Visio, Cameo, CAD programs, or other relevant technical drafting software.
• Gather and interpret complex technical information for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills and a high level of interpersonal skills mandatory.
• Must be a self-motivated team player with demonstrated ability to manage projects, tasks, and special assignments independently.
• Manage documentation tasks for multiple products simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with minimal supervision.
• US Citizenship and active Secret security clearance or higher. 

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working with agile teams and methodologies
• Experience sustaining UEWR and/or PARCS ground based radar systems

This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO with at least 50% on site at Peterson SFB. 

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - $140,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
