The Opportunity
A Technical Development Research Associate (Scientist 1) position is available in the Analytical Development and Quality Control - Bioassay US organization.
The candidate will develop, optimize, and validate biochemical/immunochemical and cell-based assays in support of our clinical through launch-phase biologics products. They will collaborate with multidisciplinary and cross functional teams to develop novel cell-based potency methods for products with complex mechanisms of action in support of process development, characterization, formulation screens, and GMP quality control of product release and stability. The individual will be responsible for designing and executing experiments, summarizing/presenting data and participating in group meetings and/or project teams.
Additional responsibilities may include developing data analysis approaches for new assays, routine lab maintenance and equipment qualification, and supporting inspection readiness with other groups/sites.
Who you are
You possess a B.S. in Biological Sciences with 2+ years of experience or a M.S. with 0+ years of experience with an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of cell biology and/or Immunology.
You have hands-on experience in the development, performance, and troubleshooting of biochemical/immunochemical and cell-based assays to be used for functional characterization
You can demonstrate ability to work independently as well as with a team, handle multiple projects, demonstrate initiative, and adapt to fast paced projects.
You possess strong attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills
Relocation benefits are not available for this role.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $92,600 - $140,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
