Joining this specialist audio technology company as a Technical Customer Support Engineer is an ideal role for someone with freelance AV Technician or Sound Engineering experience and looking for a stable, long term job.
You'll be acting as the first point of contact for new and existing B2B customers via phone, email and web chat, so you need to be a confident communicator and enjoy talking to a variety of people. As part of the technical support team you'll be providing both pre-sales and post-sales support, working with commercial customers to help them get the best from their audio systems.
The company provide specialist equipment which you'll receive full training on, however they would like to find someone who already knows their way around audio technology and understands how an audio signal and system work, in particular networked audio.
There are great long-term development opportunities within the team and also across the wider company so this is an ideal job for someone with background as a Sound or AV Engineer and looking for more security /stability and regular hours.
The Role
- Acting as first point of contact for new and existing B2B customers
- Communicating with customers via phone, email and web chat
- Processing new project enquiries and keeping project database updated
- Providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support
- Identifying the right system and technical requirements to meet customer needs
- Preparing quotes and system design documents
The Person
- Understanding of audio technology with hands-on experience using audio hardware and software
- Confident and comfortable communicating with customers and enjoys providing a high level of service
- Good written communication skills with attention to details
- Methodical approach with good trouble shooting skills
- Background in customer or IT support (or both!)
- Knowledge of networked audio
