About the Role

As a Technical writer, you will be working closely with our engineers, product managers, and the UX team in an Agile development environment to produce documentation for essential software solutions and services designed for terminal, vessel, carrier, and inland freight operators.

Responsibilities

  • Write clear, concise, and easy-to-understand release notes, user manuals and installation guides.
  • Create, maintain, and improve the API reference documentation
  • Work closely with development teams, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather technical information
  • Provide UI text (tooltips, labels, error messages, etc.) to our UX and engineering teams
  • Collaborate with our team of writers to develop creative solutions for communicating complex content.

Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in writing technical documentation
  • Strong technical aptitude, ability to analyze and research technical concepts
  • Experience in writing release notes, creating and updating user guides and technical documentation
  • A good understanding of APIs and API documentation.
  • Knowledge of MadCap Flare, Swagger Editor, and Microsoft GitHub.
  • Excellent written and oral communication with impeccable written English
  • A strong sense of ownership and results-oriented approach to work

A plus:

  • Experience with either supply chain management or marine terminal operations
  • Exposure to API documentation processes
  • Experience working with internal sources such as ADO, Salesforce, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Working knowledge of content-development life cycle and AGILE processes
