Job Description:The Senior Project Manager (SPM) drives and facilitates the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of Technical Consulting projects. Works with clients to ensure appropriate governance is applied to each project based on the scope and offering.
The SPM is the client’s first line of contact once a project has started and as such, they are the focal point of all communications to the client and the Mainframe Division, including Technical Consulting, Engineering, and Support or Development. Successful project delivery is the key performance metric for this role.
Work Experience:
● 8+ years project management experience preferably in an IT environment
● Experience managing Mainframe and/or Open Systems Software projects in a fast-paced environment
● Demonstrated mastery of at least 8 years IT project management experience using standard Work Breakdown Structures, Project Plans, Risk & Issue Management, Project Governance, experience applying PMI or similar project methodologies to projects and programs
● Proven knowledge of Project Management methodologies / preferably has PMP Certification or equivalent experience. Agile frameworks related experience is a plus
● Proven organizational and planning skills
● Proven track record of delivering large or complex projects/programs on time and in budget
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Strong organizational skills; works well under pressure and with minimal supervision
● Ability to manage shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
● Ability to effectively drive execution and own responsibility for overall success of projects
● Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
● Technical proficiency and customer-facing skills
● Generally works without consulting their manager
● Ability to make decisions independently and respond to client questions such as scope, staffing, invoicing, resource allocations and staffing requirements

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is USD 100,000.00 To USD 160,000.00
