We are looking for an experienced and client-focused IT Consultant to join NCG's Consulting & Advisory team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, helping them navigate digital transformation, improve IT performance, and implement NCG's observability and analytics solutions. You will combine deep technical knowledge with strong business acumen to deliver measurable outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements across IT consulting and digital transformation mandates.
- Assess clients' current IT environments, identify performance gaps, and develop tailored solution roadmaps.
- Advise clients on observability, monitoring architecture, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Drive the implementation and adoption of NCG's software and solutions at client sites.
- Develop proposals, statements of work, and presentations for prospective and existing clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and delivery quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to ensure solutions align with client needs.
- Contribute to NCG's thought leadership through white papers, case studies, and industry engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA or MSc in IT/Technology Management) is strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in IT consulting, technology advisory, or enterprise architecture, with at least 3 years in a client-facing lead role.
- Deep expertise in enterprise IT architecture, including hybrid cloud infrastructure, network architecture, application architecture, and integration patterns.
- Strong working knowledge of observability and monitoring technologies, including APM tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and New Relic; infrastructure monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, and PRTG; log management platforms such as Splunk and ELK; and network performance management solutions.
- Demonstrated experience delivering digital transformation programmes, including cloud migration, IT modernisation, ITSM implementation, or AIOps adoption.
- Hands-on familiarity with ITSM and operational frameworks, including ITIL 4, COBIT, and DevOps/SRE principles.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, banking, or telecoms is highly required, along with a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and relevant central bank guidelines (e.g., CBN/CBK).
- Ability to conduct IT maturity assessments, develop technology roadmaps, and produce board-level advisory reports.
- Experience with enterprise integration platforms, middleware, and API management tools such as MuleSoft, WSO2, or similar technologies.
- Relevant professional certifications are highly desirable, including ITIL 4 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader, TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Architect, PMP, or CISSP.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to confidently present to C-suite executives and manage complex, multi-party engagements.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, scope projects effectively, and maintain high delivery quality under pressure.
