About This Role:
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst, Data & Advanced Analytics to serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams in a biopharma environment. This role focuses on translating complex business problems into well-defined analytical use cases, data requirements, and technical specifications, while maintaining a strong hands-on understanding of the Databricks Lakehouse and advanced analytics solutions.
What You’ll Do:
1) Business Analysis & Problem Framing
Partner with business stakeholders in Commercial to understand objectives, pain points, and decision needs.
Translate business questions into clearly defined analytics use cases, success metrics, and measurable outcomes.
Lead requirements discovery, documentation, and validation, including functional, non‑functional, and data requirements.
2) Analytics & Data Translation
Define data requirements, KPIs, metrics definitions, and calculation logic to ensure consistent and trusted insights.
Collaborate with technical teams to shape data models, curated datasets, and semantic layers aligned to business needs.
Review and validate analytics outputs (datasets, ML models) to ensure they meet business intent and quality expectations.
3) Databricks Platform & Technical Collaboration
Act as a knowledgeable partner to engineering teams working on Databricks (Spark/SQL/Python), with the ability to:
Read and validate SQL and logic used in transformations
Understand data pipeline dependencies and data flows
Participate meaningfully in design discussions and trade‑off decisions
Support use cases involving advanced analytics such as decision engine, adoption journey, segmentation, or ML‑enabled insights, without being the primary model developer.
4) Delivery Ownership & Stakeholder Communication
Own the end‑to‑end analytics delivery lifecycle from a BA perspective: intake → requirements → refinement → validation → adoption.
Facilitate working sessions, backlog refinement, and prioritization discussions with cross‑functional teams.
Communicate complex analytical concepts and results in clear, business‑friendly language for non‑technical audiences.
Who You Are:
You are a technically fluent Business Analyst who bridges business needs and analytics delivery. You translate complex problems into clear data and analytics requirements, partner closely with engineering and data science teams, and ensure insights are trusted, actionable, and decision‑ready in a regulated biopharma environment.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in a related role.
Experience working in the Biopharma industry.
Strong experience working with enterprise data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent), with hands‑on exposure to SQL and analytics logic.
Proven ability to translate business needs into data and analytics requirements.
Exposure to advanced analytics or ML use cases.
Hands‑on experience querying or validating data using SQL and/or Databricks notebooks.
Strong understanding and experience working with specialty pharmacy data (i.e., dispense, status, etc.), syndicated data (i.e., Claims, Rx), Marketing/digital data sets and Master Data Management data sets.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with 360-degree data initiatives (e.g., HCP 360, Patient 360, Next Best Action, Patient Journey) that support advanced analytics.
Experience working in Agile / SAFe delivery models.

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
