As a Technical Solution Architect you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-performing ecommerce solutions across multiple leading platforms, including Adobe Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus, Optimizely CMS & Commerce, and BigCommerce.
About You:
You are a highly skilled and experienced Technical Solution Architect with a passion for designing innovative and scalable ecommerce solutions. With expertise across multiple ecommerce platforms like Adobe Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus, Optimizely CMS & Commerce, and BigCommerce, you excel at translating business needs into brand new technical solutions. Your deep understanding of the ecommerce ecosystem, including composable commerce and headless commerce, enables you to craft flexible and robust solutions tailored to clients' unique challenges. You are a proficient leader, skilled at guiding teams through complex technical challenges while ensuring that security standards, high-performance requirements are met.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the architecture design of ecommerce solutions across Adobe Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus, Optimizely CMS & Commerce, and BigCommerce platforms.
- Partner with team members to clarify business and technical requirements, verifying that solutions address both functional and non-functional needs.
- Architect high-performance, scalable, and secure ecommerce solutions, ensuring seamless integration with backend systems, third-party applications, and APIs.
- Leverage extensive experience with Adobe Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus, Optimizely CMS & Commerce, and BigCommerce to guide and influence platform selection, integration, and implementation.
- Architect and implement integration strategies between ecommerce platforms and other enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, payment gateways, etc.).
- Work closely with development teams to provide guidance and support during the implementation phase.
- Work together with project managers, UX/UI designers, and business partners to deliver coordinated solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical customers. Provide solution documentation, blueprints, and support in pre-sales activities (e.g., scoping, technical presentations, and RFP responses).
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of experience in technical architecture and ecommerce platform implementation.
- Expertise with one or more ecommerce platforms: Adobe Commerce, Optimizely Commerce, Shopify or Big Commerce.
- Solid experience in delivering scalable, high-performance solutions in an ecommerce environment.
- Proficiency in web technologies like PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
- Ability to align technical solutions with business goals and requirements.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities to address sophisticated challenges.
- Superb communication skills in explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects efficiently.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with composable commerce or headless commerce architecture, building decoupled solutions for greater flexibility.
- Certifications in Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus, Big Commerce or Optimizely.
- Experience with machine learning or AI in eCommerce applications.
