Job Overview:
Quantiphi seeks an Infrastructure Migration Specialist and Solution Architect to spearhead our Platform Engineering initiatives. In this role, you will be crucial to delivering sophisticated solutions to our clients, covering Application Development, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Machine Learning. A key component of this position is specialized experience migrating workloads from on-premise data centers to the AWS cloud (Rehost and Replatform Migration), thereby empowering clients to maximize the benefits of cloud infrastructure.
What you will do:
Serve as an Infrastructure Migration Specialist and Solution Architect, specializing in migrating workloads from on-premise data centers to the AWS cloud (Rehost and Replatform Migration).
Spearhead Platform Engineering initiatives, focusing on large-scale Lift and Shift (REHOST) and REPLATFORM migrations targeting AWS EC2 instance-based architectures.
Plan and execute migration tasks using AWS services (Migration Hub, MGN, SMS, DMS) and migration tools such as CloudEndure and Double-Take.
Conduct portfolio assessment and use tools like AWS Migration Evaluator to analyze and define optimal migration strategies.
Troubleshoot Windows or Linux OS and Database server issues during migration to ensure a seamless transition.

Basic Qualifications (BQ):
Proficiency in Architecting, deploying and maintaining AWS Cloud based infrastructure services [VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, EC2, SQS, SSM, ASG, Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail, Boto3, Python, EKS, Shell Scripting, Automation, SNS, SQS, KMS, EKS, ECR, RDS. etc]
Good Understanding of medium to large Enterprise architectures, Multi-Account AWS setup.
Cloud Migration Expertise:
Recent experience with and a strong understanding of various cloud migration strategies (the 7 Rs).
Must have experience with at least one large-scale Lift and Shift (REHOST) migration and one large-scale REPLATFORM migration, targeting AWS EC2 instance-based architectures.
Prior experience using migration tools such as CloudEndure and Double-Take, as well as AWS services.
Proficient in utilizing AWS services for migration, including Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), and AWS Server Migration Service (SMS).
Familiarity with Database servers is a plus, along with proficiency in the Migration Service (SMS) and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS).
Expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, auto-scaling, Landing Zone, and Control Tower
Proficiency in using AWS Migration Evaluator and Portfolio Assessment tools to analyze migration strategies
Well-versed in service-oriented architecture and cloud-based web services architecture, design patterns, and frameworks
Good understanding of Windows or Linux OS. Experience with troubleshooting Linux/Windows OS issues while migrating. Good to have handled Database server migrations also.
Strong knowledge of cloud-related services such as compute, storage, network, and messaging (e.g., SNS, SQS).
Networking Skills:
Proficiency in setting up and managing hybrid cloud networks, including VPN and AWS Direct Connect.
Experience with configuring Application Load Balancers (ALB) for effective traffic management
Automation and Deployment:
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automating migration tasks and processes.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
Strong understanding of IaC practices using tools like Terraform, CDK, and CloudFormation Templates.
Experience in automating development and testing processes through CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Docker containers.
Security and Compliance:
Strong understanding of AWS security best practices, including setting up IAM roles and policies for secure access.
Knowledge of compliance requirements relevant to data handling and migration processes.
Configuration Management / Scripting and Programming:
Hands-on experience with scripting and programming languages such as Bash, Python, Core Java, and Scala.
Previous work experience on Configuration management and using tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, AWS SSM, etc.
Other Qualifications (OQ):
