We are looking for a Technical Advisory Specialist willing to join our Team in Chile!
As part of the Chile Technical Advisory & Engineering team, the candidate will give technical support for Technical Due Diligence process of storage, wind and/or PV energy projects as well as perform activities such as general technical advisory services, construction monitoring, engineering design and grid code compliance verification, among others.Job Description:
Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform technical due diligence of wind and/or PV assets which may include BESS.
Perform yield assessments using tools such as WindPRO or PVsyst.
Perform site visits to projects already in operation to identify any issues that could affect the long-term operation of the plants.
Perform site visits to terrains where projects are being developed to detect the risks associated with the terrain, restrictions (rivers, electric lines, protected trees), the surroundings and other possible constraints that could affect the project both during the construction or the operational phase.
Design layouts of wind farms or PV plants using tools such as AutoCAD, and PVcase.
Perform site visits for monitoring of the projects under construction, to detect any deviation and issues that may affect the project during the operational phase.
Support the construction team in the Independent or Owner´s Engineering services.
Support during the development phase of the projects.
Key requirements:
MSC in Energy/ mechanical/electrical/Civil Engineer or similar
2-3 years of experience in the energy market as a minimum
Experience in consultancy and the renewable market
TDD experience for projects in Chile
Computer skills: Microsoft Office package, AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Project
Language skills: Working level of English as well as fluency in Spanish.
Technical Knowledge of wind and PV
Desired requirements:
General knowledge about the Chilean electrical market and applicable regulations and regulatory standards.
Chartered Engineer qualifications will be considered a plus
Experience in other Latam Markets considered a plus
Technical knowledge of BESS
Experience in construction of energy plants and/or substations
Knowledge of specialized software like PVCase, WIndPRO, PVsyst or similar
