Job Opportunity: Technical Accounting Senior Manager

Salary: $98,000 - $130,000/year

About the Role:
As part of the Corporate Accounting team, the Technical Accounting Senior Manager will lead projects and serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP and SEC accounting issues. You will research complex transactions, assess their impact, document conclusions, and ensure timely communication across departments. You’ll focus on areas such as contracts, revenue recognition, leases, derivatives, and acquisitions. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless implementation of technical accounting standards and developing the skills of other accounting team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical accounting guidance on a wide range of topics, including leases, revenue recognition, and impairment analysis.
- Research new accounting guidelines and assess their implications for various business units.
- Prepare accounting memos and documentation for complex transactions.
- Collaborate with external auditors to resolve accounting matters in a timely manner.
- Train and mentor other members of the Technical Accounting and Corporate Accounting teams.
- Maintain and foster effective working relationships across different functions and departments.
- Promote the company’s core mission, values, and team behaviors.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in technical accounting, including the preparation of accounting memos.
- Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with SAP and Power BI is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC accounting standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across diverse teams.
- Travel: 1-4 domestic trips per year.
