Tru Inc. is hiring a Technical Account Manager for an immediate permanent opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Technical Account Management, technology consulting, digital delivery, or enterprise client services who combines strong relationship-management skills with technical fluency across enterprise digital platforms.

About Us:-
At Tru, we are more than just a technology agency - we are strategic partners committed to driving digital transformation for enterprise-level clients. As experts in digital experience platforms, e-commerce engines, and innovative solutions, we help businesses thrive in the digital era.

Position Overview:-
The Technical Account Manager owns and supports the full client lifecycle across a $1M to $3M account portfolio, acting as the bridge between client business and technology stakeholders and Tru’s engineering, delivery, strategy, and marketing teams.
The role is responsible for Technical Account Management across assigned clients, including understanding their technology landscape, managing technical priorities and risks, translating business requirements into actionable solution plans, and ensuring ongoing alignment between client objectives and Tru’s delivery teams.
The Technical Account Manager is not expected to be the hands-on technical architect or developer, but should have enough technical depth to confidently lead discovery conversations, challenge assumptions, understand solution dependencies, and coordinate effectively with technical specialists.

Location:-
This is a hybrid role with some work-from-home flexibility. Preference will be given to candidates in the Greater Toronto Area, as the role follows a three-day-per-week in-office schedule to support collaboration, workshops, and client engagement.
Travel to client and partner offices is required.

Core Responsibilities:-
Technical Account Management: Own and support 4–6 key client relationships, managing a portfolio of approximately $1M to $3M while maintaining visibility into technical priorities, budgets, contracts, delivery performance, client satisfaction, risks, and opportunities.

Technical Discovery & Requirements: Lead and support discovery sessions with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, existing platforms, integrations, dependencies, constraints, and desired outcomes.

Solution Alignment: Work with solution architects, engineering leads, strategists, and delivery teams to translate client requirements into practical solution approaches, scopes of work, technical workstreams, and implementation plans.

Technical Client Advisory: Act as a trusted point of contact for clients on digital platform and technology initiatives, helping them understand solution options, trade-offs, dependencies, implementation considerations, and technical risks.

Platform & Architecture Awareness: Develop a strong understanding of each client’s technology ecosystem, including applications, integrations, APIs, data flows, infrastructure, analytics, marketing platforms, and third-party services.

Cross-Functional Delivery: Partner with engineering, QA, project management, marketing, analytics, and strategy teams to align scope, milestones, technical dependencies, budgets, timelines, and acceptance criteria.

Technical Risk Management: Proactively identify integration, architecture, performance, security, environment, access, dependency, and implementation risks and coordinate mitigation plans with internal and client teams.

Roadmap Planning: Support Quarterly Business Reviews and technology roadmap discussions by identifying platform improvements, modernization opportunities, technical debt, optimization initiatives, and future investment priorities.

Commercial Growth: Partner with Business Development and Client Services leadership to identify technical expansion opportunities, contribute to proposals and Statements of Work, and help shape solutions that are commercially viable and technically sound.

Operational Discipline: Maintain accurate account, opportunity, and pipeline information in HubSpot to support revenue forecasting, resource planning, account health, and commercial visibility.

Technical Platform Ecosystem:-
The Technical Account Manager should bring strong conceptual and practical awareness of enterprise digital technologies and be comfortable working across the following areas:

Enterprise CRM & Marketing Automation: Experience working with platforms such as Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Cloud, or similar enterprise marketing technologies.

Digital Experience & CMS: Understanding of enterprise websites, CMS platforms, digital experience platforms, web applications, content architecture, personalization, and customer experience initiatives.

Commerce Platforms: Familiarity with modern commerce architectures, including headless and API-first approaches, and platforms such as CommerceTools, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, or similar technologies.

Cloud & Infrastructure: Working knowledge of cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including hosting, environments, deployments, security, and platform dependencies.

APIs & Systems Integration: Understanding of REST APIs, middleware, system integrations, data exchanges, authentication, third-party services, and enterprise integration patterns.

Data & Analytics: Familiarity with analytics and data platforms, including Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, customer data platforms, reporting tools, and data pipelines.

Search & Digital Performance: Understanding of SEO, AEO, site performance, tagging, analytics implementation, and digital optimization initiatives.

Software Delivery Lifecycle: Strong understanding of discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, development, QA, SIT, UAT, deployment, release management, and post-launch support.

What You’ll Bring:-
Professional Experience: 4 to 7 years of progressive experience in Technical Account Management, technology consulting, solution consulting, digital delivery, or enterprise agency environments.

Technical Account Management Experience: Demonstrated experience managing enterprise client relationships while coordinating technical workstreams, platform initiatives, solution dependencies, delivery expectations, and technical risks.

Technical Fluency: Experience working with enterprise web applications, cloud platforms, system integrations, APIs, digital experience platforms, marketing technologies, or commerce solutions.

Client Management: Experience managing enterprise clients, multiple technical workstreams, budgets, delivery expectations, and stakeholder relationships.

Requirements & Solution Thinking: Ability to understand business requirements, ask the right technical questions, identify dependencies, and work with specialist teams to shape practical solutions.

Executive Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for business stakeholders while engaging credibly with engineering and technology teams.

Commercial Awareness: Understanding of Statements of Work, estimates, budgets, resource planning, change requests, account profitability, and organic growth opportunities.

Risk Management: Ability to proactively identify technical and delivery risks, escalate appropriately, and coordinate teams toward resolution.

Client Advocacy: Ability to navigate complex and matrixed client organizations while balancing business priorities, technical realities, and delivery constraints.

Solution Orientation: A results-driven mindset focused on solving problems, creating measurable client value, strengthening relationships, and improving long-term platform outcomes.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
