As a Technical Account Manager based in Brisbane, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to securing, maintaining and growing Michelin business in the mining industry. Your engineering expertise will be crucial in providing technical support and innovative solutions to our customers. You will work in collaboration with colleagues based in Australia and all over the world.
Key responsibilities:
Value Demonstration:
Demonstrate the value and benefits of Michelin products and services to mining customers.
Provide technical support and product demonstrations to showcase how Michelin solutions can enhance productivity, safety, and cost-efficiency.
Data Analysis:
Collect and analyse data related to product performance, including tyre wear, fuel efficiency, site condition etc.
Use data-driven insights to provide actionable recommendations to clients, helping them optimise their operations and achieve better results.
Client Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders in a mine site: including but not limited to Mine Manager, Maintenance Engineer, Workshop Manager and Procurement.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with mining customers.
Generate new leads and opportunities to sell all the portfolio of Michelin products and services to Mining customers.
Account Management:
Assess the tire potential of customers.
Collect purchase orders and ensure delivery is happening according to the contract.
Ensure that sales goals and targets are met or exceeded.
Coordination and Planning:
Coordinate with other functions and stakeholders within the organization to ensure seamless service delivery.
Plan and execute activities that align with the overall business strategy.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and market analysis.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market conditions.
What We’re Looking For:
Legally authorised to work in Australia (New Zealand applicants considered).
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Mining, or related field preferred).
Experience building strong relationships, confidently engaging with stakeholders at all levels, sharing insights, solving challenges, and influencing outcomes
Analytical skills to understand data, write reports, and make recommendations.
Respect for people and a culture of empathy and support.
Experience with CRM systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to travel based on business requirements.
