As a Technical Account Manager you will be responsible for securing, maintaining and growing Michelin's presence across key mining accounts. Leveraging your engineering expertise, you will provide technical support, deliver value- based solutions, and build strong relationships with customers at site level.
You will collaborate closely with Michelin teams across Australia and globally, contributing to innovative solutions that improve productivity, safety, and cost efficiency for our customers.
Key Responsibilities,
Value Demonstration
- Demonstrate the value and performance benefits of Michelin products and services.
- Deliver technical support, product trials, and demonstrations to enhance customer outcomes in productivity, safety, and cost efficiency.
Data Analysis & Insights
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to tyre performance, wear rates, fuel efficiency, and site conditions.
- Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations that optimise customer operations.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Mine Managers, Maintenance Engineers, Workshop Managers, and Procurement teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer needs
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and new mining customers.
- Promote and sell Michelin’s full portfolio of products and services.
Account Management
- Assess customer tyre potential and manage account performance.
- Collect purchase orders and ensure deliveries are aligned with contractual commitments.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets and performance objectives.
Coordination & Planning
- Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Plan and execute activities aligned with Michelin’s business strategy.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, and market insights.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market conditions.
About You:
A qualification in Mechanical, Mining, or a related discipline provides a strong foundation to understand the technical aspects of the role. You bring experience in client service, technical, or sales focused positions and excel at building strong relationships, confidently engaging with stakeholders at all levels, sharing insights, solving challenges, and influencing outcomes
Analytical by nature, you enjoy turning data into actionable recommendations that drive real impact. You are proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), flexible, and willing to travel as required.
