Job Description
Purpose of the role
In our path to a new best of breed technology practice, we are looking for a Tech Transformation Principal that shall lead and govern our tech transformation journey, working closely with tech product teams to ensure strategic alignment, effective governance and removal of impediments across all tech functions and domains in all we do in the technology area, in order to maximize the impact on our corporate objectives, unleash business value and guarantee the consistency of the organizational transformation.
Accountabilities
Within this role you will:
- Become a trusted partner to the tech domain teams and own the relationship with the key roles leading the transformation across the different tech domains, including Tech Portfolio / Product Owners, Domain Transformation Leads, Scrum Masters and Tech Leads
- Promote and coordinate the definition of the tech transformation vision and the identification of IT roadmap aligned to business and technology strategy, plans and priorities
- Lead the implementation of the tech transformation governance framework and ensure adoption and adherence of the different tech teams
- Ensure all initiatives carried out by the technology area are contributing to the corporate objectives as defined by the Tech Board
- Facilitate and track key impacts of the Tech Transformation Portfolio through elimination of impediments, sponsoring continuous improvement and instilling a business results-oriented mindset to the key roles
- Provide the different Program/Project/Product managers and other key stakeholders with the appropriate tools and assets, so they can improve efficiency in their jobs
- Standardization of Ways Of Working (WoW) and best practices within the technology area
- Lead the WoW hub as strategic technology change asset, ensuring all teams work in a synchronized manner, utilizing best practices and tools to achieve organizational strategic objectives
- Analyze industry trends in adaptative portfolio management, OKRs definition, WoW frameworks and understand their potential applicability to IAG case
- Follow up and track Program/Project/Product metrics and analyze global impact on corporate objectives of the different tech initiatives (ROI, organizational efficiency, etc.)
- Promote best practices and efficiently communicate success cases
- Promote tech Transformation community and change culture
- Lead the domain transformation leads’ chapter to ensure all domains are adopting WoW and contribute as expected to the progress of the tech transformation
This role may require travel and working from multiple sites/locations. Willing and able to travel to participate in meetings, workshops, and other related activities

Qualifications
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Desired qualification
- Strong understanding of technology product delivery standards, frameworks and methodologies
- Awareness of other standards and frameworks such as ITIL, SFIA, etc
Skills
- Strong leadership (in line with IAG Tech leadership framework), with a proven ability of influencing and persuading internally and externally both to tech and business teams
- Effective stakeholder management, balancing and finding compromises between opposing views and opinions
- Focused on delivery with an agile mindset
- Business outcome and value driven
- Problem solving & and understanding of the broader business context (business acumen)
- Systematic and rigorous planning of work and priorities
- Flexibility in a rapidly changing and developing environment, with the ability to work under pressure
- Fluent English & Spanish
Experience
- +5 years of proven experience in similar positions in the travel industry in international companies and +7 years’ experience working in technological areas, preferably under agile methodologies
- Proven IT leadership, gained in a complex global organization, with extensive experience delivering significant business outcomes and values, through the creation and leadership of agile product teams
- Business partnering, working as a valued partner with senior stakeholders and strategic third parties across a diverse operation
- Proven experience defining, setting up and working with Governance Models and Frameworks. Definition and maturity assessment frameworks for IT Operating Models
- Experience working with agile methodologies, especially with Scrum & Kanban, and desirable knowledge in SAFe frameworks from the product perspective
- Experience of operating across multiple countries and cultures is desirable, but not essential
