Total Safety is looking for a Safety Technician to add to their safety conscious team. The Safety Technician cleans and inspects supplied air equipment, masks, scba's, and 5 min escape pack.

Position Responsibilities:
- Assist with customer inquiries
- Clean, inspect, and service safety equipment
- Service and maintain eyewash stations
- Assist with safety trainings
- Perform customer inspections and audits
- Manage PPE
- Assist Emergency Response Team
- Manage rental equipment
- Additional tasks as requested by customer
Essential skills and experience:
- Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed environment

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task activities and shift priorities
Performing annual fit testing

Skills Required
- Current TWIC card
- Perform annual fit testing and ear mold impressions
- Airline training and annual requalification
- Fall protection inspections (Honeywell/Miller)
- Maintain and work on gas detection (fix sensors, manage sign-in/out)
- Clean, repair, and maintain breathing air rental equipment and fill breathing air cylinders
- Manage SCBAs and sign out cascades of air
- Distribute chemical and regular PPE; manage FR clothing orders
- Service and maintain eye wash stations and make up/maintain spill kits
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, work self-directed in fast-paced environment, decision-making and problem resolution
- On-call availability including overtime, nightshift, and weekends
- May occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and meet physical vision/hearing requirements
- Refinery experience
