About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead - React to drive the technical direction and execution of our front-end development initiatives. This position goes beyond coding—you will lead a high-performing team, influence architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to deliver world-class user experiences. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, establishing development best practices, and ensuring our React applications are robust, scalable, and optimized for performance.
In this role, you will serve as both a hands-on technical expert and a mentor, guiding your team through complex technical challenges while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will partner with Product, UX, and backend teams to translate business objectives into technical solutions, ensuring that the front-end architecture supports long-term growth and maintainability.
We'll trust you to:
- Lead and mentor a team of 4-8 React developers, fostering technical growth and best practices
- Architect and design scalable, maintainable React applications with a focus on performance and user experience
- Drive technical decisions on frameworks, libraries, and tooling (React ecosystem, state management, build tools)
- Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and ensure code quality across the team
- Collaborate with Product and UX teams to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and architectural issues
- Drive adoption of modern development practices, including CI/CD, testing strategies, and DevOps principles
- Stay current with React ecosystem trends and evaluate new technologies for potential adoption
You'll need to have:
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or senior engineering role
- Deep expertise in React patterns, hooks, context, and component architecture
- Strong proficiency in state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, MobX, or React Query)
- Experience with front-end build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, esbuild)
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and front-end/backend integration
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience with Next.js or other React frameworks for SSR/SSG
- Familiarity with micro-frontend architectures and module federation
- Experience with design systems and component libraries (Material UI, Chakra, Ant Design)
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or related field
