See yourself in our team

Our Regional and Agribusiness Banking team supports the financial wellbeing of businesses and communities across regional Australia.

As Team Manager, Analysts, you’ll lead and develop a team of Analysts who play an important role in supporting high-quality and timely credit outcomes for our Business Banking customers.

This is an opportunity to bring together your leadership experience, commercial banking knowledge, and ability to create structure and clarity within a busy team environment.

The role is ideally based in Orange, with flexibility for the successful candidate to work from Bathurst or Dubbo.

Do work that matters

You’ll create an environment where your team can perform at its best. By setting clear expectations, establishing effective ways of working and providing regular coaching and feedback, you’ll build confidence, capability, and consistency across the team.

A key part of your role will be helping Analysts strengthen their commercial credit capability, deepen their understanding of policy and risk appetite, and apply sound judgement in increasingly complex situations. You’ll take a genuine interest in your people, supporting individual development while building a connected, collaborative, and accountable team culture.

You’ll oversee workflow across credit applications, annual reviews, and expired facilities, ensuring work is prioritised effectively and the team is structured to respond to changing customer and business needs. Working closely with relationship teams and other stakeholders, you’ll help balance strong customer outcomes with service, performance, and risk expectations.

With a focus on quality and consistency, you’ll champion effective Credit Assurance, Hindsight and broader Credit Risk outcomes aligned to the Group’s Business Banking risk appetite. You’ll also identify opportunities to strengthen capability, simplify processes, and improve how work gets done across the team.

This is a visible leadership role where your ability to bring clarity to competing priorities, build strong stakeholder relationships and create the right structure around your people will directly contribute to the success of the team and the customers we support.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have

  • Previous leadership exposure, including experience coaching, supporting, and developing others
  • Experience within commercial or business banking
  • A practical understanding of commercial credit, risk and customer needs
  • The ability to structure a team, set clear expectations and create effective ways of working
  • Strong workflow management, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills
  • The confidence to provide feedback, hold people accountable and support individual growth
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A collaborative and inclusive leadership style, supported by sound commercial judgement

This opportunity would suit an experienced people leader, or someone with strong leadership exposure, who is ready to broaden their impact and take responsibility for the performance, development, and success of a team.

If you’re a grounded and capable leader who understands commercial banking, brings clarity to complexity, and knows how to set a team up for success, we’d love to hear from you.
