Job Description:

Key Accountabilities :

The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of identity and access management, technology and cyber risk with the ability to translate emerging risks and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable solutions. This role requires someone who can provide trusted subject matter guidance, influence stakeholders, support sound decision-making, and lead initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reduce risk exposure, and promote a strong culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide strategic direction, coordinates cross-functional delivery, and aligns stakeholders to advance business priorities and effective risk management

    • Lead the development and integrated implementation of policies, processes, procedures, and changes across the organization.

    • Lead or contribute to cross-functional and enterprise initiatives as an organizational or subject matter expert, providing risk insight and guidance for complex situations.

    • Clarify accountabilities, influence stakeholders, and align partners as needed to support effective infrastructure and processes to manage risk

  • Ensure adherence to enterprise frameworks, regulatory expectations, and control requirements while promoting a strong risk and compliance culture.

    • Lead relationships with corporate and control functions to support alignment with the Workforce Identity and Access Management standards and other relevant cybersecurity requirements

    • Manage oversight processes, including risk-based identification and monitoring of related risks and regulatory compliance across supported functions.

    • Oversee or lead the facilitation and implementation of action and remediation plans to address performance, risk, and governance issues

  • Drive efficient operations, strengthen oversight, and support continuous improvement through remediation, productivity enhancements, and scalable ways of working.

    • Work closely with key business leaders to optimize TD resources and leverage TD’s operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and scale

    • Review and/or contribute on the presentation of insights back to executive leaders / business partners to drive strategic improvement; also responsible for contributing to overall direction of team regarding emerging tools/ techniques/ methods in presenting or visualizing key information

    • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency

  • Develop team capability, and foster a collaborative culture focused on innovation, professionalism, and value delivery.

    • Grow team expertise to align with enterprise demand and the Bank’s strategic direction

    • Assess team skills and capabilities and continually identify ways to enhance the value delivered

    • Foster a culture that encourages productivity, innovation, process improvement, teamwork, and professionalism

Job Requirements:

  • University degree in business/science/technology/engineering

  • 5+ years experience in a technology & cyber and/or risk management & compliance role

  • Experience in data analytics, dashboarding, as well as visualization and automation tools

  • Professional accounting and/or relevant designation considered an asset (CPA, CA, CIA)

  • Public accounting firm experience and/or internal audit experience would be considered a strong asset

  • Demonstrated ability to influence change through subject matter expertise, build effective and collaborative working relationships with cross-functional teams and business partners 

  • Proven ability to successfully lead, change, and manage effectively in a matrixed environment

  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to articulate complex subject matters simply and clearly 

  • Highly motivated individual with exceptional leadership, planning and project management skills to handle teams with functional diversity, complexity, and multiple points of internal and external contact

  • Highly motivated to improve processes and leverage data and technology to increase efficiency and effectiveness

  • Ability to work with a pool of experts and ensure high levels of service even when the effort crosses organizational boundaries

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities
