Job Responsibilities:
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Gives directions and align associates on the shift to ensure they stay fully utilized. Be certain that the Press schedule is being met and notify appropriate persons if there is a problem.
- Organizes and coordinates the activities of employees to ensure that productions and/or repairs conform to quality standards outlined by the company and/or customer requirements
- Responsible for completion of all applicable paper work and computer inputs - Shift summary sheet, Down time system, Lot Traceability sheet, Crane check sheet, Destacker set-up sheet, Die set sheet, LPA, Layered Process sheet, QID sheet, etc.
- Manpower alignment to schedule and organize break rotation incl. filling in for Associates that are out
- Assist Supervisors with tracking of attendance, vacation, overtime and performance appraisal issues
- Train associates and ensure work instructions are being followed by all Associates on the line.
- Recommend to supervisors when corrective action is needed
- Perform other duties as required
Education and/or Experience (Required):
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year prior metal working and press experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good mathematical, analytical and organizational skills
- Six months to one year experience as press operator
- SAP knowledge
