Get to Know the Team

We are called Demand Planning, which is the demand growth engine for Grab. Grab Marketing Service (GMS) and Platform monetization is one of main focuses of the team. We invent marketing packages/ services by using Grab's assets and demand generation tools for merchants and partners to satisfy their needs while also making revenue for Grab. Work is interdisciplinary – a combination of advanced analytics, merchant segmentation, marketing strategy and project management.

Get to Know the Role

As Team Lead, Business Intelligence & Special Projects, you will play a key role in transforming complex data into actionable business insights that drive impact for our merchants. You will lead end-to-end data retrieval and analysis, working with cross-functional teams to gather inputs, identify opportunities, and shape strategic recommendations. You will report into Manager, Campaign and Monetization and will be based 5 days onsite at our office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • You will work with large datasets and present business recommendations through statistical and evidence-based research and visualisation
  • You will initiate, create, and maintain reports and dashboards covering all aspects within merchant team, i.e. account management, process optimization,
  • You will identify main metrics to evaluate the performance of our business teams & programs and partner with cross-functional teams to improve them
  • You will work with key account managers and team members to improve business models, perform analysis to understand trends, provide actionable insights,
  • You will work cross-functional to set up key metrics that help team to track productivity and measure success of initiatives to ensure we're driving towards company OKRs
  • You will consolidate and report the GMS country P&L, while also identifying revenue opportunities and gap areas to help drive achievement of the country's P&L targets.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related fields (e.g. Business, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics)
  • You have at least 3-5 year experience in Bi or related roles
  • You have experience with data and how to translate your findings into opportunities and strengths for the team
  • You can make a logical and astute hypothesis through data to help solve ambiguous problems and providing valuable business insights
  • You can develop good relations across different teams and communicate ideas effectively and relevantly to different stakeholder groups.
  • You are proficient in Tableau, Excel (can perform complex functions) , SQL, experience with Power BI or other data language e.g. Python, R.
