Teaching Assistant 

Location: Old Windebrowe School, Keswick, Cumbria

Salary:  Teaching Assistant - £22,795 - £23,074 (depending on qualification)

Old Windebrowe School is seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our founding team. Situated in the picturesque town of Keswick, our new school will cater to children with specific learning needs, including Autism, Learning Disabilities, and associated complex needs.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape a brand-new school and make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an inspirational SEND Professional who:

  • Is wanting to progress their career in SEN education
  • Has previous experience of working in a SEN education setting or similar setting
  • Has high expectations and a commitment to delivering the best possible education for all students.
  • Can lead small group or individual learning experiences for students
  • Can adapt their approach to support the needs of each student.
  • Is flexible, dynamic, well-organised, and reflective in their practice.
  • Has experience supporting children and young people with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and complex needs, including those who may be looked after.
  • Works well as part of a team and can inspire and support colleagues.

Additional Information

You will be joining a small, supportive team and will receive high-quality training and development.

We generally follow the Cumbria term dates, although our five INSET days may vary.
