The Tax and Transfer Pricing Specialist is a hands-on technical role within the Group Tax & Transfer Pricing function, reporting to the Group Head of Tax. The role is responsible for executing the Group's transfer pricing documentation, supporting tax compliance across key jurisdictions, and contributing to advisory and project work alongside the Group Head of Tax.
This is an individual contributor role with high ownership and direct exposure to cross-border tax matters. The Tax and Transfer Pricing Specialist works closely with Group Accounting, Controlling, Legal, and regional finance teams, and is the primary owner of TP documentation deliverables within the Group.
Key Responsibilities- Own and produce the Group’s transfer pricing documentation, including the master file, local files, and benchmarking analyses for JOST World.
- Maintain and update intercompany pricing models in line with the Group TP policy and OECD guidelines.
- Manage the annual Transfer Pricing documentation cycle end-to-end, coordinating with external advisors
- Support Group Head of Tax on Transfer Pricing risk management, audit defence, and jurisdiction-specific issues
- Monitor regulatory developments in tax and Transfer Pricing (Pillar Two, BEPS) and flag implications for the Group.
- Support corporate income tax compliance across key JOST jurisdictions, working with local advisors and internal teams.
- Assist with VAT/GST, withholding tax, and other indirect tax obligations as needed.
- Contribute to the preparation and review of tax provisions and disclosures in group reporting.
- Maintain documentation standards and audit-readiness across the Group's tax compliance framework.
- Provide tax input on intercompany agreements, financing structures, and operational changes under the guidance of the Group Head of Tax.
- Support M&A-related tax workstreams including due diligence, structuring reviews, and post-acquisition integration.
- Contribute to the Group's Tax Compliance Management System (Tax CMS) and internal process improvements.
- Participate in finance transformation and tax technology projects (e.g. management tool deployment, tax dashboards).
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate tax and/or transfer pricing, in a Big 4 firm or in-house at a multinational.
- Hands-on experience producing TP documentation (master file, local files, benchmarking studies).
- Exposure to German or EU tax environments preferred; manufacturing or industrial sector a plus.
- Experience with Pillar Two / GloBE rules are advantageous.
- Strong technical knowledge of transfer pricing, OECD guidelines, and international tax principles.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables with limited supervision.
- Accurate, organised, and deadline-driven; able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Clear communicator - able to explain technical tax matters to non-tax stakeholders.
