About the Role
You’re not just a tax professional; you’re a Tax All-Star. The kind of person who knows how to deliver high-level service to clients, lead engagements with confidence, and thrive in a collaborative team environment. You’ve got strong technical chops, a client-first mindset, and a track record of growing within a mid-sized Firm.

We’re looking for a Tax All-Star, at the Senior Manager level, with the following experience and strengths:
- At least 5+ years in a Manager role with tax experience in public accounting
- Experience at a mid-size firm (40+ FTE)
- Strong background serving privately held businesses and their owners
- Our management team includes well-rounded tax professionals that handle all aspects of a client's needs. This includes their business returns, personal returns, trusts, etc.
- Comfortable managing multiple engagements, reviewing returns, and mentoring junior staff
- EA credential required, CPA preferred
- A true client-facing leader — someone who communicates clearly, builds relationships easily, and enjoys solving problems directly with business owners
- A team player who can balance leadership with hands-on work when needed
This is a great fit for someone who’s worked at the Tax Manager level and is now ready to step into a more visible, client-centered role with a firm that feels different than a large regional or national firm. You’ll be joining a supportive and forward-thinking team that values initiative, integrity, and growth, both for our clients and our people.
Remote / hybrid options are available. You do not need to be based in the Houston, TX area to apply, but local candidates are encouraged.
Skills Required
- At least 5 years in a Manager role with tax experience in public accounting
- Experience at a mid-size accounting firm with 40 or more full-time employees
- Experience serving privately held businesses and their owners
- Experience managing multiple tax engagements and reviewing tax returns
- Experience with business returns, personal returns, and trusts
- Experience mentoring junior staff
- Enrolled Agent credential
- Certified Public Accountant credential
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills
