Job Title: Tax Preparer - L2

Location: This position is onsite in Irvine, CA.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $25-$28 per hour based on experience, qualifications, and skillset with potential opportunity for bonuses 

Position Overview:

As a Tax Preparer - L2, you will play a crucial role in working with individual and small to medium-sized business tax returns, handling more intricate financial information such as income statements and balance sheets. Your expertise in tax laws and regulations will allow you to identify advanced deductions, credits, and exemptions, helping clients maximize their tax benefits. You'll work independently on assigned client accounts and may also provide guidance to junior preparers. Key Responsibilities:

The Tax Preparer - L2 must be able to perform the following tasks:

• Prepare complex individual tax returns (can include K1’s, capital gains, rental properties, schedule C, D, E, F, etc) and small to medium-sized business tax returns (can include asset accelerated depreciation, depreciation recapture, balance sheet review/correction, etc).
• Analyze financial statements and documents to determine tax implications.
• Research and interpret tax laws and regulations for accurate tax reporting.
• Advise clients on tax planning strategies and potential tax savings opportunities.
• Review and finalize tax returns for accuracy and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

The Tax Preparer - L2 must have the following experiences:

• Experience with Bookkeeping, Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• Proven experience in tax preparation with increasing levels of complexity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• College degree or CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Drake tax preparation software.
