Tax Manager, Indirect

At Plusgrade, we power revenue for 200+ of the world’s most iconic travel brands. We don’t need a tax "administrator"—we need a Global Indirect Tax Architect. As we undergo a company-wide AI transformation, you will own the indirect tax blueprint for our global expansion, sitting at the intersection of complex consumption tax regimes and frontier technology. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for a specialist who lives for the mechanics of VAT, GST, and Sales Tax on a global scale.

• Scalable Indirect Frameworks: You have designed and deployed end-to-end indirect tax flows that allow us to enter new markets and launch SaaS products with automated, tax-compliant transaction paths.

• Indirect Tax Commercial Edge: You are the lead voice in contract negotiations, ensuring VAT/GST clauses and indirect tax liabilities are optimized across 200+ global partners.

• AI-Enabled Compliance: You have leveraged our AI shift to automate indirect tax returns, FET filings, and ledger reconciliations, shifting the function from manual reporting to strategic oversight.

• Mastery of Digital Tax Jurisdictions: You have successfully navigated the "gray zones" of global e-commerce and SaaS nexus rules, turning complex indirect tax legislation into a strategic roadmap.

• Audit Defense & Resolution: You serve as our primary global representative for all indirect tax audits, managing inquiries with precision and ensuring zero-friction resolutions.

• Indirect Tax Specialist: 8+ years of deep technical expertise specifically in Indirect Tax (VAT, GST, HST, Sales Tax, FET). We are looking for a specialist, not a generalist.

• Technical Elite: CPA required, with significant experience navigating multi-jurisdictional indirect tax frameworks in Big 4 or complex global tech environments.

• Tech-Forward: You are eager to use AI to eliminate the "grunt work" of transactional tax and redefine the efficiency of the indirect tax function.

• Autonomous Strategist: You thrive in an IC role where you own the indirect tax function and drive results with executive-level influence.
