Gen is actively recruiting for a 10-week summer internship program. As an intern, you will work collaboratively on high-impact, meaningful projects during this full-time (40 hours per week) internship, directly supporting Gen’s business strategy in a dynamic and global environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Finance & Accounting Intern with a focus on Tax, you will apply your academic knowledge to real-world tax accounting and compliance operations that support a publicly traded, global technology company. You will gain exposure to both tax compliance and accounting processes that ensure accurate reporting and strong internal controls. Working closely with experienced finance, accounting and tax professionals, your ideas and analytical insights will be valued as we strive for continuous improvement and innovation. This internship provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative corporate environment. During your internship, you will participate in shadowing and training opportunities with members of the tax team and collaborate with Finance and Accounting team members. You will attend weekly team meetings, network with leaders, and engage with fellow interns across the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE

· Assist with Tax compliance and quarterly provision

· Provide general tax accounting support, including account reconciliations and journal entries

· Collaborate with tax team members to experience different areas of tax compliance and accounting

· Assist with internal controls documentation and audit support

· Contribute to US Federal tax return

· Review tax processes to identify areas of efficiency and automation

· Support tax return processes and quarterly close processes

· Collaborate with team members on special projects as needed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

· Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

· Completion of at least one college‑level tax course by start of internship

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts

· Interest in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting operations

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Highly motivated with a desire to learn and grow
