Job Description:
Guggenheim Partners is seeking a junior tax professional to join its corporate tax team. The position will be responsible for all aspects of federal tax compliance for the Company’s operating partnerships, c-corporations, and holding company. The position will also include responsibilities around tax planning and assisting with the execution of the Company’s long-term tax strategies.
The Tax Analyst/Associate will report to a Tax Manager and will be based in the Chicago office; currently this position is fully remote.
Essential Job Functions- Preparation of federal tax return compliance requirements for the firm’s partnership and corporate entities
- Preparation of quarterly taxable income estimates
- Maintain standardized work paper and tax return organizational system
- Manage 3rd party service provider timing and review of their work product
- Work on special projects related to complex research issues
- Remain current on legislative development and tax planning opportunities
- Prepare and maintain documentation for Tax Department compliance related processes
- Certified Public Accountant
- Completion of a Master’s Degree in Taxation
- Asset management/financial services client experience
- ASC 740 experience
- Information Reporting experience
- Strong organization, time management and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, including partnership tax compliance
- Proficient in Excel
- Annual base salary between $130,000 to $140,000.
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
