- Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns for multiple entities.
- Research and provide solutions with state and local tax issues, including compliance, advisory consulting, audit defense, refund claiming, and tax planning.
- Conduct sales tax code determination and taxability assessment for products and services.
- Manage customer exemption certificate database within the tax automation system.
- Conduct nexus analysis, voluntary disclosure analysis, and notice analysis.
- Research and provide taxability guidance for company purchase orders.
- Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies to diminish tax burden.
- Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes.
- Manage and maintain the company’s tax database.
- Manage the vendor info and filing form 1099.
- Support other accounting tasks as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant field.
- A minimum of 2- 3 years’ experience in indirect tax.
- International taxation/tax planning working experience is preferred.
- Good understanding of MS Office and accounting software.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting vs. taxation different treatment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
