Tax Accountant
*Remote
Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
We are currently seeking a Tax Accountant to join our Tax team. Someone who is highly organized, collaborative, attentive to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment will do well in this position. Our most successful employees are service oriented and work well as a team player.
As a Tax Accountant, you will primarily be responsible for assisting with compliance for federal, state & local (entity level), US domestic international for a large S-Corporation with the opportunity to become involved with C-Corporation compliance.
Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the calculation of federal tax adjustments.
• Assist with the calculation of entity level state tax accruals, estimated payments, extension payments, and K-1 process
• Preparation of S-corp Composite and Entity returns
• Preparation of state income tax returns.
• Preparation of federal and US international tax returns (1120, 8858, etc).
• Research key issues and analyze new tax legislation.
• Interact with wider finance team on tax related issues, including Treasury, Accounting, Legal, and International Tax team.
• Interact with third party service providers.
• Assist with implementation of process improvements to include automation and updating and creating policy and procedures.
• Assist with the monthly annual report process.
• Assist with tax research as needed.

What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need?

• B.S. or B.A. Accounting degree
• 1+ year of tax experience in public accounting or large organization.
  • S-Corporation or Partnership experience preferred.
  • Multi-state tax compliance experience preferred.
• C-Corporation compliance experience a plus
• US Domestic International compliance experience a plus
• Experience with tax technical State & Local
• Experience with Corptax tax compliance software a plus.
• Experience with Excel required.
• Power Pivot and Alteryx experience also a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
• Detailed oriented with ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently toward accomplishing goals.
• Time management skills required to function within a deadline driven environment
