About the team

As a member of the Tax team, VAT, GST etc accountant will perform the VAT, GST accounting and VAT,GST reporting obligations for WP companies in APAC.

What you’ll own

• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file indirect tax returns (VAT, GST, etc.) accurately and timely.

• Tax Reconciliation: Ensure all indirect tax accounts are reconciled and submitted as per the timelines including corrective actions to close the open items

• Tax Accounting: Ensure Monthly Journal entries are posted for Tax accounts.

• Audit Support: Assist in statutory and external audits, including preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities and external auditors.

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in tax compliance processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Tax Governance: Prepare and update Process notes for VAT compliance processes for the respective countries.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and External consultants to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.

Where you’ll own it

You’ll own it in Pune office. Please note that this is an office first position

What you bring

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in indirect taxes, preferably in a multinational company or in a Tax consulting firms.

• Strong knowledge of indirect tax regulations and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in using ERP systems and tax software.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with handling Indirect Tax compliances for a region.

• Familiarity with international indirect tax regulations.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
