Role Purpose
As a Tax Accountant you will provide support across various Group tax activities to ensure all tax filing and reporting obligations are met. You and will play a critical role in assisting the tax team in delivering the tax compliance and statutory reporting cycle. The compliance cycle relates to corporate tax, VAT and employment taxes for the UK group and overseas subsidiaries. The role will require building relationships with the wider finance team to ensure the required information is provided in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
Summary
· Assist in the preparation of the UK corporate tax returns and submission of overseas tax returns (where appliable)
· Assist in tax reporting and accounting for the Group including assisting in the tax reporting and accounting for the individual subsidiaries
· Assist with the review of cross border taxation requirements including filing requirements and permanent establishment assessments
· Assist in the preparation of the quarterly UK VAT return and quarterly review of the VAT on business costs
· Assist on ad hoc queries relating to VAT
· Preparation of the PAYE settlement agreement calculations
· Assist on ad hoc queries relating to PAYE
· Asist with preparing and submitting the Short Term Business Visitor (STBV) returns
· Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and best practice
· Involvement in the continuous improvement in the group tax function to maintain efficiency and effectiveness
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
What we are looking for in you
· Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field/or equivalent.
· CPA qualification required or equivalent.
· UK-recognised qualification or equivalent (e.g., ATT, CTA, ACCA) is desirable but not essential.
· Previous experience in UK/US tax accounting, preferably with exposure to UK clients.
· In-depth knowledge of UK tax laws, including corporate tax, VAT, and personal income tax is desirable but not essential.
· Proficiency in UK accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, IRIS, TaxCalc).
· Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet tight deadlines.
· Working knowledge of IFRS principles, including recent changes
· Understanding of what good financial control looks like
· Fully competent in all Microsoft applications.
· Working knowledge of Workday finance system would be beneficial

Skills Required
