Description

The Talent Management and Curriculum Specialist is responsible for delivering a best in-class employee experience across dealership operations. This role bridges recruitment, training, compliance, and culture, ensuring employees are fully prepared, compliant, engaged, and productive from day one. 

This position plays a critical role in building a high-performance workforce by building and executing training programs, supporting talent development initiatives, tracking early performance metrics, and reinforcing professional standards across Sales, Service, Parts, Collision, Detail, Accounting, IT, HR, Marketing, and Call Center departments. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Management & Workforce Development Support. 
  • Partner with HR leadership, Schumacher University, and department managers to execute employee training programs, employee follow-up, and career path planning. 
  • Maintain accurate employee training and performance records. 
  • Support internal mobility, succession planning, and career path development. 
  • Track retention, turnover, and early performance indicators 30/60/90-day performance appraisals. 
  • Work with department managers documenting new hire goals and training compliance. 

Training & New Hire Experience 

  • Lead structured training programs for all dealership roles, ensuring consistent delivery across locations and departments. 
  • Facilitate orientation sessions covering company culture, professional standards, safety, compliance, and operational basics. 
  • Develop role-specific training plans in partnership with Sales, Services, Parts, Collision and Corporate Office Departments. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during their first 90 days and beyond. 

Training Coordination & Early Development 

  • Assign and track required training modules (compliance, safety, systems, and role-based learning). 
  • Support managers with 30/60/90-day development plans and coaching frameworks. 
  • Monitor training completion and provide progress reporting to leadership. 
  • Assist with scheduling in-person and virtual training sessions. 
  • Reinforce performance expectations, professional conduct, and customer experience standards. 

Culture, Engagement & Continuous Improvement 

  • Champion a positive employee experience and people-first culture. 
  • Service-oriented mindset with a passion for people development. 
  • Gather feedback from new hires to improve onboarding effectiveness. 
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and engagement. 

Requirements

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelors degree in HR, Organizational Deve, Business Administration, or related field preferred, not required. 
  • 2-5 years of experience in learning and development, talent management, or curriculum development.

  • Comfortable working with dealership learning management systems.

Work Environment 

This role operates in a fast-paced automotive dealership environment and/or corporate office environment, requiring regular interaction with dealership leadership, managers, and frontline staff. Occasional travel between dealership locations may be required.
