Job Summary & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for owning the full process from needs origination to offer and hire. Position will serve as a steward and ambassador of Bell Bank and will lead recruiting efforts on assigned openings within the organization. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be process and detailed oriented, exude an ability to form relationships with the talent community and business partners and will be tasked with providing a best-in-class candidate and hiring manager experience.  

Primary Duties:

  • Manage the full recruiting cycle from needs origination to hire including scheduling, interviewing, and offer creation.
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting & sourcing methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Promote and support workplace diversity. 
  • Work closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of their department’s hiring needs for each position
  • Grow and foster nurturing and trusting relationships with managers, employees, and job seekers.
  • Serve as a proactive resource, identifying challenges/pain points and providing solutions in advance
  • Manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs.
  • Screen resumes and job applications, conduct phone interviews, and manage candidates throughout interview process.
  • Act as the main point of contact during the selection/interview process.
  • Follow up on interview statuses and update records in the HRIS software.
  • Coordinate and schedule pre-employment assessments, if needed. 
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Facilitate the offer process by extending the offer, negotiating employment terms, and reviewing benefits with the applicant.
  • Perform background checks on prospective employees.
  • Check references for prospective employees.
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports.
  • Attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Assist in developing and updating job descriptions and job specifications, if needed. 
  • Assist with new hire orientation, if needed. 
  • Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; and emphasizing benefits and perks.
  • Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.
  • Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards.
  • Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line.
  • Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information.
  • Prompt and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Required:

  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting, sourcing and management of multiple positions simultaneously preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience with Talent Acquisition, Recruitment. Agency experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods.
  • Exceptional communication (written & verbal), interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative and collaborate when necessary.
  • Ability to uncover and profile hiring needs and match appropriately with talent
  • Detail-oriented and able to complete and prioritize projects with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.  
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times due to the nature of the HR functions and information.
