Job Description

Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals, Inc. is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The Talent Acquisition Specialist manages the full-cycle recruitment process by sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified talent while building strategic candidate pipelines to support the organization's current and future workforce needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The essential duties and responsibilities listed below are not all encompassing.  Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned consistent with business requirements.)

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and recruitment priorities.
  • Source, identify, and engage active and passive candidates through various recruitment channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, technical schools, and community organizations to create a pipeline of emerging talent for current and future hiring needs.
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, campus recruiting events, networking events, and other recruiting functions.
  • Screen resumes and applications to assess candidate qualifications and alignment with position requirements.
  • Conduct candidate outreach, phone screenings, and initial interviews.
  • Coordinate and facilitate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Extend employment offers and support compensation discussions in collaboration with management and Human Resources.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and applicant tracking system data.
  • Monitor labor market trends and recruitment best practices to support effective hiring strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external recruiting partners, professional associations, and industry networks.
  • Support employer branding initiatives to enhance the organization's visibility and attractiveness to prospective candidates.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, and recruitment procedures.
  • Overnight travel is required to support relationship-building efforts, maintain a strong organizational presence, and engage with external partners, prospective candidates, and key stakeholders.
  • Responsibilities may evolve over time based on organizational priorities, departmental needs, and business objectives, with additional duties assigned as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, human resources, or a related field.
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes across multiple positions and departments preferred.
  • Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to support organizational and recruitment objectives.
