About Us

Artificial Intelligence could be one of humanity’s most useful inventions. At Google DeepMind, we’re a dedicated scientific community, committed to building AI responsibly to benefit humanity.   We use our technologies for widespread public benefit and scientific discovery, and collaborate with others on critical challenges, ensuring safety and ethics are the highest priority.

The Mission:

At DeepMind, our success is defined by our ability to attract the brilliant minds who are building the future of AI. To stay ahead, our Talent Acquisition team must operate with a predictive, intelligence-driven edge. We are looking for a visionary builder to be the architect and hands-on engineer of this critical capability.

This is a unique, hybrid role for an individual who thrives on translating ambitious vision into tangible reality. You will be entrusted to own the market intelligence function from concept to execution—shaping the strategy and personally building the automated tools that will define our competitive edge. This requires a leader who is as comfortable advising executive leadership as they are building a new analytical agent.

What You'll Do:

  • Architect the Intelligence Engine: You won't just manage a system; you will design, code, and build it. From the ground up, you will create our centralized, AI-powered Market Intelligence Hub, automating data gathering, building analytical agents, and producing the insights that give us a competitive edge.
  • Serve as the Principal Advisor: You are the central point that bridges our entire intel ecosystem. You will serve as the key advisor to TA leadership, bringing clarity and strategy to define how we leverage our current team, external agencies, and internal partnerships, and integrating them into one powerful function.
  • Deliver Actionable Intelligence: Your primary output will be a continuous stream of strategic insights delivered directly to TA leadership. This includes automated dashboards, deep-dive reports on our core focus areas, and proactive alerts on market shifts, which will then be distributed to the wider organization.
  • Drive the Proactive Agenda: Design and execute a forward-looking intelligence program focused on our long-term bets. This means systematically talent mapping key domains, monitoring emerging research, and building the "early warning system" that prepares our team for the hiring needs of tomorrow.
  • Implement Strategic Frameworks: Develop and implement the data-driven frameworks that help leadership distinguish between the "loudest" and the most strategically critical hiring needs, ensuring our resources are always aligned with the highest-impact business goals.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A background in research, analytics, or strategy, honed within a high-growth technology, management consulting, or executive search environment.
  • Demonstrable, hands-on experience using AI, automation scripts (e.g., Python), or advanced platforms to build agents, automate data gathering, or create analytical workflows.
  • Experience translating broad business problems into specific analytical and technical requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • A true "founder" mindset with proven experience taking a high-level concept and single-handedly building it into a functional, scalable program.
    • Deep domain knowledge and an understanding of the key talent and players in at least one of our core areas: large-scale AI/ML, cybersecurity, or robotics.
    • A proven track record of using data to craft compelling business cases and influence the strategic direction of senior leadership.
    • The ability to act with autonomy, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and bring structure to ambiguous, multi-faceted problems.

At Google DeepMind, we value diversity of experience, knowledge, backgrounds and perspectives and harness these qualities to create extraordinary impact. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, disability, age, citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership status, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, or related condition (including breastfeeding) or any other basis as protected by applicable law. If you have a disability or additional need that requires accommodation, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Note: In the event your application is successful and an offer of employment is made to you, any offer of employment will be conditional on the results of a background check, performed by a third party acting on our behalf. What We Do

We’re a team of scientists, engineers, machine learning experts and more, working together to advance the state of the art in artificial intelligence. We use our technologies for widespread public benefit and scientific discovery, and collaborate with others on critical challenges, ensuring safety and ethics are the highest priority. Our long term aim is to solve intelligence, developing more general and capable problem-solving systems, known as artificial general intelligence (AGI). Guided by safety and ethics, this invention could help society find answers to some of the world’s most pressing and fundamental scientific challenges. We have a track record of breakthroughs in fundamental AI research, published in journals like Nature, Science, and more. Our programs have learned to diagnose eye diseases as effectively as the world’s top doctors, to save 30% of the energy used to keep data centres cool, and to predict the complex 3D shapes of proteins - which could one day transform how drugs are invented.
