Position Job Title: Coordinator, Talent Acquisition
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Location: Irvine, CA
Position Summary
This position is a key member of the People Team at New Home Co. with responsibility for the coordination and tracking of all recruiting and new hire administration. The most qualified candidate for this role is highly organized and pays great attention to detail. This position reports directly to the head of the People team and indirectly to the Sr Talent Acquisition Specialist.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Supports the complete Talent Acquisition process including but not limited to
- Candidate communication and interview scheduling.
- Tracking and logging approvals for open positions and offers of employment.
- Posting open positions through Applicant Tracking System and other job boards.
- Drafting and sending offer letters.
- Implementing the employment contingency process including obtaining authorizations and running background checks.
- Communicating directly to both candidates and hiring managers during the various steps of the onboarding process.
- Helping conduct New Hire Orientations as requested.
- Helping review resumes or screen candidates under the direction of Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist.
Managerial Responsibility: This position does not supervise other employees.
Position Qualifications:
- Undergraduate bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- HR Certification a plus but not required.
- Prior experience working in professional administrative capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to lead others via process and project implementation.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn to use an Applicant Tracking System and other software programs.
- Flexible, adaptable, and open to change and feedback.
- Performs work under general supervision in both individual and team settings.
