We provide equity investment management services for institutional investors, leading corporate, public and individual clients on a world-wide basis by way of separate accounts, sub-advised mutual funds, and other commingled vehicles since our firm founding in 1995.

Our team of over 165 employees is mostly based in our headquarters in Manhattan and we have additional offices in London, Dublin and Melbourne. We are a growing company, in the size of our team, our locations, and our assets under management. We seek partners, not just employees, at every level in the firm and are looking for an exceptional new team member to grow with us. At Pzena, we invest in your career and have a strong track record of internal mobility.

Overview

Pzena Investment Management is seeking a Talent Acquisition Advisor to play a pivotal role in strengthening the firm’s hiring and people infrastructure. This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role for an experienced Financial Services recruiter who thrives in a small, high-performing HR team and brings a strong interest in supporting broader HR initiatives. In partnership with the Talent Delivery and Advisory Lead, the role combines full ownership of the recruitment lifecycle with meaningful exposure across onboarding, workforce planning, campus programs, benchmarking, and HR operations.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who combines strategic cross-functional partnership with disciplined execution. We are seeking a professional with high personal standards, strong drive and an intrinsic commitment to continuous improvement while balancing confidence with humility. The strongest candidates set the bar, operate independently with strong judgment, think critically, and deliver consistently high-quality work.

  • Provide data-driven insights to hiring managers and leadership
  • Ensure hiring practices consistently reflect Pzena’s culture, values, and long-term investment philosophy

HR Partnership & Broader Exposure

  • Own the recruiting-to-onboarding transition to ensure a seamless new-hire experience
  • Serve as a trusted partner to HR leadership on workforce planning and hiring priorities
  • Support onboarding, orientation, and select HR initiatives and projects
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in HR processes, systems, and practices

 Requirements for Consideration

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of recruiting experience in Financial Services, asset management, banking, or professional services firm
  • Exceptions technical skills in excel and a strong foundation in MS Office products
  • Demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruiting across multiple functions and levels
  • Experience leading campus recruiting and internship programs
  • Strong understanding of broader HR practices and a genuine interest in expanding across HR disciplines
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to partner effectively across HR, Finance, and business leadership
  • A self-starter who operates independently, applies strong critical thinking, and thrives in environments requiring judgment and ownership
  • Known for discipline, follow-through, and excellence in execution

 Working Model & Culture

  • Hybrid, 4 days in office/1 day remote, plus additional flex days allotted throughout the year

What We Do

Our investment philosophy is simple: we seek to buy good businesses at low prices. We focus exclusively on companies that are underperforming their historically demonstrated earnings power, performing fundamental, bottom-up research on these companies in an effort to determine whether the problems that caused the earnings shortfall are temporary or permanent. We typically consider companies for inclusion in the portfolio when the following criteria are met: (1) the current valuation is low compared to the company’s normalized earnings power; (2) the current earnings are below historic norms; (3) problems are viewed as temporary; (4) management has a viable strategy to generate earnings recovery; and (5) there is meaningful downside protection in case the earnings recovery does not materialize. We believe a concentrated portfolio exclusively focused on companies with these characteristics should generate meaningful excess returns for long-term investors
