Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Lead or Senior Verification and Validation Systems Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM developing new advanced concepts on a DOD propriety program. The position will be embedded within Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) supporting the entire product life cycle of the program through requirements derivation and development, design, procurement, integration, test, verification and validation.
Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including lead senior level engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of verification and validation (V&V) plans, procedures and test activities required for subsystem, product and component testing and reporting.
- Define subsystem verification strategies based on program requirements using structured verification methodologies.
- Lead subsystem level integration and test activities.
- Lead test readiness reviews, integration readiness reviews, and technical interchange meetings.
- Ensure system performance meets mission and program requirements.
- Understand and articulate risks and opportunities to program leadership to support decision making.
- Analyze and document test results, discrepancies and corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 9+ years of experience with systems integration, verification, validation, ICDs, risk, issues and opportunities management and/or trade studies
- Experience with a combination of the following: developing hardware verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing test procedures, and/or documenting test results
- Experience to troubleshooting technical system issues
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
- Level 5: 14+ years of experience with systems integration, verification, validation, ICDs, risk, issues and opportunities management and/or trade studies
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Understanding of Systems Engineering product development lifecycle
- Experience with CAMEO or other model-based system engineering (MBSE/SysML) tools
- Background in hardware and/or software integration
- Experience with requirements management and traceability tools (i.e. DOORS)

Summary pay range for lead (level 4): $136,850 - $185,150
Summary pay range for senior (level 5): $164,900 - $223,100
