The Platform and Systems Team (PST), part of Analog Garage, is seeking a motivated and self-driven New College Graduate Hardware Engineer to join our team in Boston with strong fundamentals in analog/digital/mixed-signal circuits and electronics hardware design and bring-up. Our team works cross-functionally to build actionable systems in biotech, energy, and autonomous systems that span the breadth of Intelligent Edge systems. You will be a key functional contributor in our New Product Development (NPD) process and work to design and develop early electronic system prototypes into minimally viable products and beyond. Design, develop, and own hardware signal chains spanning research, prototypes, and early products.

Build PCBs to satisfy project requirements and as technology demonstrators.

Work with other engineers to perform automated Python or Matlab data collection campaigns.
We encourage our engineers to expand their skills by taking on additional responsibilities like embedded software, AI/ML implementation and AI-inspired design.
Desired Skills:

Graduated or planned graduation from a MS EE or focused BSEE program in or prior to 2025

Experienced in conducting experiments independently during research or internship experience

Experienced in signal chain design and Spice or Matlab simulations to make engineering decisions and tradeoffs

Comfortable with automating measurements using Python or Matlab scripts

Autonomous and self-directed in independently pursuing new research directions

Experience with designing experiments for and debugging hardware

Proficient in Altium or other CAD tools for power and signal integrity checks

Fundamental knowledge of DSP, and sampling theory

Fundamental knowledge of power electronics and PDNs, topologies

Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and motivated to learn new things quickly in an agile environment
What skills are a bonus:

Healthcare or industrial or energy systems domain knowledge

Knowledge of software development life cycle and its management tools including git or similar

Experience with robotics systems and fundamental mechanical engineering principles and tools

Familiarity with RF design tools such as ADS, HFSS, and simulation experience in Matlab/Simulink/Python

Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks, for design optimization

Has worked in a startup environment, and/or led small teams to develop working prototypes
