Responsibilities:
- Assist in basic systems integration tasks, gaining foundational knowledge and skills.
- Support requirements analysis and management under supervision.
- Participate in verification and validation (V&V) activities at an introductory level.
- Contribute to software and hardware integration efforts.
- Assist in configuration management and document control processes.
- Develop and execute basic test plans, and troubleshoot technical issues with guidance.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 0-2+ years of experience in systems integration or related field.
- Basic understanding of integration tools and methodologies.
- Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with requirements development and management, system design, systems integration, technical risk identification, management strategies, and V&V principles.
- Basic understanding of Systems modeling and simulation tools.
- Basic understanding of multiple Engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Conceptual knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary design & development teams
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network topologies
- Familiarity with network configuration and management tools
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment emphasizing rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities, with minimal supervision.
- Proven successful experience in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test.
- Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques
- Internship or cooperative education experience in systems engineering.
- Basic knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Understanding of requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB.
- Knowledge of industry-standard system engineering design principles, to include, classical and MBSE.
- Experienced or certified in International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standards [Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP)].
- Familiarity with baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of highly integrated trade studies and analysis of alternatives.
- Exposure to establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military.
