The Role
Executes end-to-end process domain and industrial automation projects for pharmaceutical, refinery, chemical, power, and material-handling customers. Develops functional and technical specifications, configures simulations, implements control logic, performs testing, and supports FAT, SAT, UAT, and on-site acceptance activities. Evaluates requirements, manages risks, coordinates project teams, interfaces with customers, maintains documentation, monitors timelines, and delivers systems according to quality and functional standards. Travel of more than 30% may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for executing Process Domain projects with project teams for end-to-end design & delivery for Pharma, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power and other customers
  • Study contract documents/tenders, evaluate customer requirements
  • Manage the development of functional and concept technical design specifications as well as Pharma documentation like IQ, OQ etc.
  • Strong understanding of Pharma Batch, recipe management, Refinery Process and & Critical Section etc.
  • Ensure implementation is done with respect to project standards and quality documents & final deliverable meets the functional specifications of the end user 
  • Identify, advise, and incorporate modifications in simulation configuration. 
  • Should be able to anticipate the project risk and look for mitigation plan 
  • Attend project reviews with Customer & Interface with project leads and customers for raising technical queries. Participation in quality process reviews and ensure completion of projects on schedule 
  • Drive product improvement, productivity & Self skill enhancement.
  • Management of team members / project team.
  • Prepare or update reports and documentation
  • Should be able to understand customer requirements, develop, test, implement and present the logic / system to customer during Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test.
  • Collaborate with engineering team to execute project tasks.
  • Implement automation projects for material handling customers
  • Executes all test plans on-site, both internal and customer acceptance/BUAT/UAT/FAT
  • Monitors and works from project tasks lists and timelines; reports progress on a regular basis
  • Attends weekly team meetings; reviews scheduled tasks/timelines

 

Qualifications

You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as science, technology, engineering.
  • 4.5 -10 years of working experience in 4.5-10 years in Pharma, refinery/ petrochemical/ chemicals operation 
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%+ of the time

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Industrial Automation, Electronic/ Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with some of the following: 
    • DCS, SCADA, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Programming and Electrical Design
    • Honeywell, Schneider, Allen-Bradley, Siemens Programmable Logic Controller 
    • Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) programming and setup
    • Network Protocols & Network switch / Firewall configuration.
    • Having excellent and hands on experience of the industrial field communication Profibus, Ethernet IP, Profinet, Foundation Field Bus, Modbus -Serial & TCP/IP.
    • Human-machine Interface system design
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, by consistently taking the initiative to get things done
  • Capability to update or modify working methods in your role by following defined procedures
  • Interest and skill to collaborate with engineering functional teams. 
  • Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity
