Job Description
The System Engr II serves as the major technical contributor for certification needs for the engines and power system portfolio of products that includes support plan for certification or qualification of engines and power systems (E&PS) products, review and support of certification and qualification documents, certification process standardization, automation to ease the processes and applying Artificial intelligence techniques.
Responsibilities include providing certification guidance and support to E&PS programs, developing, and implementing talent strategies, people development, culture, technical coaching, employee engagement and enabling diversity and inclusion. Implement transformational strategy to reduce cycle time and cost and improve Honeywell Aerospace’ competitiveness in the marketplace.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Understanding of aircraft turbine engines and auxiliary power unit.
- Experience in working with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and/or European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) product regulations and requirements.
- Experience in working on certification plans/reports in compliance with FAA and other aviation regulations.
- Experience in working on qualification plans/reports in compliance with Technical Standard Order (TSO).
- Experience with Requirement Management Tools such as DOORS and/or DOORS NG and RPE.
- Experience with systems engineering methodologies and tools. Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering is beneficial.
- Apply latest technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) in certification/qualification process.
- The candidate must have passion for continuous learning and innovation.

- Perform review of certification and qualification artifacts.
- Coordinate with civil aviation regulators on certification/qualification/international validation efforts.
- Identify opportunities in product certification process improvements and implement them.
- Be futuristics in applying AI in certification/qualification processes.
Basic Qualification:
- Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or in related field.
- 3+ years of working experience in FAA/EASA certification/qualification efforts
