As a Systems Engr I here at Honeywell, you will design, implement, and manage complex systems that drive innovation and efficiency. You will report directly to our Sr Project Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Mexico City location on an On-site work schedule.
The Field Service Engineering is responsible for the technical design, and implementation of control system applications based on Honeywell Experion PKS. This role supports application engineering activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring high‑quality, safe, and standardized control solutions that meet customer, regulatory, and internal engineering requirements.
The Field Service Engineer acts as the technical support for Experion PKS applications, coordinating project lead, project management, process engineering, commissioning teams, and customers.
Responsibilities- Act as technical support for Experion PKS application engineering within assigned onsite projects.
- Support on application designs, logic, and documentation for engineering team.
- Ensure applications comply with functional design specifications (FDS) and customer requirements.
- Support application engineering activities from KOM to FAT and SAT.
- Help coordinate application changes, issue resolution, and handover to operations/support teams.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Professional degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial automation or control systems engineering.
- Proven experience in application engineering activities on medium-to-large industrial projects.
- Experience working in multinational environments.
- Industrial Networks proven experience
- Solid understanding of industrial processes (e.g., oil & gas, chemicals, power, manufacturing).
- Experience with system integration and communication protocols.
- Control logic development and troubleshooting
- HMI design and alarm management
- Familiarity with safety systems
- Strong technical leadership and desicion making skills
- Structured quality driven approach to engineering
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical topics clearly
- Costumer focus mindset with the ability to work under project deadlines
- English proficiency, writtenand spoken
