M9 Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to work on a government contract for a client located in Sunnyvale, CA. An active Secret clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and monitor network switches, routers, firewalls (threat defense systems), and provide recommendations on solutions and fixes, as well as implement fixes.
- Research, test, troubleshoot, and implement Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) in compliance with Risk Management Framework requirements and document variances and artifacts for submission to the accrediting authority.
- Assist with engineering and architectural design changes and implementations on the network, and update and generate documentation as required.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and support all Video Teleconference (VTC) equipment, and deploy new units as needed.
- Assist in other MASC projects to include installing equipment and removals, installing fiber optic and copper transmission cables, remote site installations, installation of Video-teleconferencing systems, working with VMware Virtualization technologies, and desktop support issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or applied science degree with 2+ years of experience; or Master's degree and 0 years of experience.
- Experience in configuring and troubleshooting TACLANE cryptographic equipment.
- Experience with Linux and VxWorks.
- Experience with network switches, routers, and firewalls, as well as ability to provide recommendations on solutions and implement fixes.
