Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking highly experienced and energetic System Engineers to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer, the Software Engineer is responsible for responsive and coherent planning, development, and delivery of PARCS and UEWR assessment of systems and networks within the environments to identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This position will be a hybrid opportunity with onsite support as required by the customer at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. Candidates must be located physically in the Colorado Springs, CO area or surrounding areas.
- Responsibilities:
- Performing Systems Engineering activities related to Information Technology and Engineering including:
- Requirements definition
- Analysis and engineering
- System analysis and design
- Interface and data architectures
- Systems integration
- System operational performance analysis
- Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Developing requirements and standardizing BOE, SRR, PDR processes.
- Responsible for developing processes, aids in process mapping to ensure standardized and repeatable best practices.
- Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.
- Providing specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

Mid-level System Engineer:
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors and five plus (5+) years’ experience; Masters and three plus (3+) years’ experience; PhD or JD and zero plus (0+) years’ experience
- Developing and/or sustaining national security, no-fail mission systems
- Managing large-scale Agile or DevSecOps teams/projects, to include support to cost estimating, baseline and risk management, schedule development, performance monitoring and reporting
- Experience leading waterfall-to-agile transformations, designed to deliver Minimum Viable Products in a consistent cadence
- Experience with a broad range of system types: custom developed HW/SW, COTS/GOTS HW/SW, and specialty engineering of exotic material/limited supply items
- Experience in cloud-hosted development, integration, and test capability
- Experience with configuration and data management, hardware and software test & evaluation of classified systems
- Experience implementing cybersecurity solutions in existing, DoD systems
- Experience with implementing and sustaining distributed systems, virtual operating system environments, and virtual/augmented reality technologies
- Experience translating operational requirements into system requirements; and system requirements into technical requirements/performance standards
- US Citizen and an active Secret security clearance
- Desired Qualifications:
- Experience managing large-scale Agile or DevSecOps teams/projects, to include support to cost estimating, baseline and risk management, schedule development, performance monitoring and reporting
- Experience sustaining PARCS, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWR
- Experience in systems engineering, Model-based Systems Engineering and related areas, to include managing teams/projects delivering solutions for missile warning or other national security space mission systems
- Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associate enterprise
- Experience maintaining national security mission networks
Senior System Engineer:
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors and fourteen plus (14+) years’ experience; Masters and twelve plus (12+) years’ experience; PhD or JD and nine plus (9+) years’ experience
- Developing and/or sustaining national security, no-fail mission systems
- Managing large-scale Agile or DevSecOps teams/projects, to include support to cost estimating, baseline and risk management, schedule development, performance monitoring and reporting

This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO. The estimated salary range for these positions are:
Mid - $90,000.00 - $110,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset
Senior - $140,000.00 - $160,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset
