Centuria Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the National Weather Service (NWS) Next Generation Radar (NEXRAD) Radar Operations Center (ROC) to join our team in Norman, OK. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing system design and requirements analysis for various projects. You will also be involved in feasibility analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and documentation for modifications and large-scale product improvement programs. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical writing and presentation skills, as well as a background in radar systems and equipment.
This position is based in Norman, Oklahoma, supporting the NWS NEXRAD Radar Operations Center. Candidates must be capable of working onsite and collaborating with diverse teams of engineers, scientists, and stakeholders.
· Provide system design and requirements analysis for complex computer systems.
· Conduct feasibility, cost/benefit, and alternatives analysis for modifications and large-scale product improvement programs.
· Develop documentation including technical specifications, design documents, and system integration plans.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of hardware, software, and systems components.
· Perform system integration and testing activities to validate system functionality and performance.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system design, integration, and performance.
· Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to computer systems and architecture.
· Proven experience in providing system design and requirements analysis for complex computer systems is desired.
· Familiarity with feasibility, cost/benefit, and alternatives analysis and documentation for modifications and large-scale product improvement programs.
· Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
· Requisite experience in radar systems and equipment is highly desirable.
· Knowledge of computer hardware, systems software, and computer systems architecture and integration is desired.
· Experience in using Red Hat Enterprise Linux or other Fedora based Linux distributions.
· Experience with systems and networking devices running embedded Linux.
· Familiarity with common aspects of routing configurations such as IPv4, IPv6, sub netting,
Network Address Translation (NAT), and Access Control Lists (ACL).
· Ability and interest in the logical, systematic conversion of program requirements into viable technical solutions.
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required and a Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
