Evaluate, select, design, install, implement, configure, upgrade and optimize the performance of Altera\Allscripts application systems, databases and assigned technologies required to deliver infrastructure for internal and client-facing applications.

Essential Functions/Major Job Responsibilities

  • Manages, maintains, monitors and supports the network infrastructure environment. 
  • Installs, configures and supports hardware and software required to operate the network infrastructure.
  • Works with operations, to provide ongoing maintenance including updates, patches and antivirus updates.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues within the network infrastructure including hardware, software, operating systems and application-related issues; Conducts performance monitoring, systems health checks and capacity planning.
  • Identifies the common causes of network infrastructure defects, prioritizes them and systematically removes them so that they do not reoccur in further development work.
  • Ensures validation has happened (peer, stakeholders) and all review comments have been closed / incorporated before delivery of any artifacts.
  • Ensures the quality of the deliverables as per the defined defects standards.
  • Takes complete ownership for the assigned network infrastructure task and reports progress of the project / task to all stakeholders in a timely manner. Informs all stakeholders immediately of any scope creep and\or schedule delays.
  • Documents issues with resolutions and shares with the core infrastructure teams to improve team productivity.
  • Adheres to the defined global Infrastructure standards.
  • Provides accurate and timely information and proactively escalates as appropriate to the situation.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

Work Experience

  • 2-4 years relevant work experience (Preferred)

Certifications

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (Preferred)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)CompTIA A+ (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Prior work experience with switches and routers.
  • Prior work experience with firewalls.
  • Prior work experience with wireless platform. (Preferred)

Working Arrangements

  • Primarily works in standard office environment or remotely.
  • May require after-hours, on-call support and/or holidays.

Travel

  • Up to 20% travel may be required.
